Back in March, things got a little... broken around here (literally — I, Luci, broke my arm 🤕). My business as a sole trader was about to face-plant HARD.

​

Enter Jamie, our caped crusader! 🦸‍♂️ He ditched the concrete jungle 👷‍♂️ and leaped into the chaotic world of Custom Inkd Apparel! Now, we're officially a dynamic duo! 👯‍♀️

I'm rocking the Co-founder, Creative & Digital Strategy gig, while Jamie's the wizard behind Print Production & Operations. 🧙‍♂️ Seriously, this guy can make printers sing! 🎶

Here’s the twist: Jamie's been a co-founder in spirit (and wallet 😉) from day one, dreaming of joining the biz. It took a broken arm to get here, but hey — that’s our origin story! 💪

​

But the truth is, our story really started way back during COVID, when life threw us one curveball after another.

​

Jamie was diagnosed with Lymphoma, and while facing that tough road ahead with chemo treatments, we made a huge life decision — to bring a baby into the world 👶❤️ (already having four amazing blended kids together!).

​

When our little one arrived, things changed fast. I, Luci, lost my job because childcare options were almost impossible to find during those times.

 

We were suddenly at a crossroads — what’s next?

​

With Jamie’s health we were concerned long-term concreting was not what he needed (it was just too hard on his body), we started dreaming up something new — something we could build together.

 

That’s when Custom Inkd Apparel was born....kind of...

​

Well at first, it was all about our own brand, which soon it quickly became clear that our local community needed something more: a printing service that offered zero minimums, transparency, and good old-fashioned reliability.... So custom inkd it transformed into.

​

We realised how much trust had disappeared in today’s dropshipping world — too many people burned by false advertising and impersonal service. We wanted to bring back that old-school honesty where you actually know who’s behind the brand.
